　　这是一部微蟹观历史电影，在一个大的历史背景下讲邮述个人故事妖。1966年美国著名的黑人社会组织“Black Panther Party（黑豹党）”成立了，在诉求利用社会眨主义思想来解决美国黑人问题的前提下，在一些问题上采取了暴力的方式。十年后“黑豹党”在内部分裂与国家的压制下逐渐瓦解，声势浩荡的十年斗争之路结束了。电影的故事就开始于这个时间1976年。由安东尼·麦凯饰演的前黑豹党成员Marcus，在经历多年的斗争之后回到了费城老家。他的归来并没有引来邻居以及家人的欢迎，而是处在种种怀疑之下，Marcus被冠以背叛者的声名。在所有人弃他而去的时候，只有战友的妻子也是他的老朋友Patricia（凯丽·华盛顿饰演）一个人在支持他。
